Women are underrepresented in the world of theatre. Many people are aware of that fact, bemoan it, and wonder why nobody does anything about it. We stopped wondering and did something about it. We are women of action. We talk the talk and walk the walk. We are proud to have produced 11 shows in the past five years. We are a strong voice in the DC small theatre community, growing louder each year. We are also expanding and hoping to produce ever more ambitious projects in the next five years. Your contribution will help make Pinky Swear a voice for change for many years to come. In addition, you'll help us meet our stated goals: - Build a company in which local theatre artists can make a living in our community. - Raise the profile of women’s voices in theatre by hiring women artists and technicians whenever possible. - Enable artists to experiment with new avenues of expression. We are passionate about our mission and proud of our body of work. Help us become an inspiration to others to achieve gender parity in the theatre world and continue to rock the socks off audiences in Washington, DC.
